Servings: Filling for 12 Samosas


1.
Oil 2 teaspoons
2. Saunf / fennel 1/4 teaspoon
3. Ginger, small piece
4. Green chilies 4-5
5. Amchoor powder / dry mango powder 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
6. Garam masala powder 1/4 teaspoon
7. Potatoes 4-5
8. Cooked peas 1/4 cup
9. Groundnuts 1 tablespoon (optional)
10. Turmeric powder 1/8 teaspoon
11. Red chili powder 1/2 teaspoon
12. Salt to taste
13. Chopped coriander leaves 1 tablespoon




How to make Samosa Filling?


1. Soak groundnuts in water for 1-2 hours.






Cook potatoes till they are soft.

Remove the skin of the potatoes after they cool down.


Break the potatoes into small pieces.





Chop the green chilies and ginger (1/4 teaspoon).

2. Heat oil in an utensil. samosa filling recipe s2
3. Add saunf.

Fry till the saunf turns to golden brown.

4. Add chili and ginger. Fry. samosa filling recipe s5
5. Add potatoes, peas, amchoor powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, groundnuts and salt. Mix. samosa filling recipe s5
6. Fry till the mixture becomes hot.

Switch off the stove.
7. Add chopped coriander. Mix.

Keep aside to cool.

Samosa filling is ready.

TIPS Samosa Filling Recipe
1. Use old potatoes only as much as possible, because these give a better taste.
2. If you are not using amchoor powder / dry mango powder, but want the filling to taste sour, use lemon juice.
