1. Murmura / kadle puri / puffed rice / pori / borugulu / maramaralu / mandakki 1 cup
2. Chili powder 1/4 teaspoon or to taste
3. Roasted jeera powder 1/2 teaspoon
4. Cucumber, chopped, 1/3 cup
5. Onion, chopped, 2 tablespoons
6. Tomato, chopped, 1/4 cup
7. Carrot gratings 1/4 cup
8. Fresh sweet corn 1 tablespoon
9. Coriander leaves few sprigs
10. Pudina leaves 6-8
11. Coconut gratings 1 tablespoon
12. Jaggery shavings or powder 1 tablespoon
13. Tamarind, soaked, small marble size
14. Sev 1/4 cup
15. Salt to taste

How to make Bhel Puri?

1. Dry fry the puffed rice till it becomes crispy, if the puffed rice is not crispy.
Because soft tamarind makes it easy to extract the juice, soak the tamarind in about 1 tablespoon of hot water for about 10 minutes.

Squeeze the tamarind and strain the juice to a bowl.

Add 1-2 teaspoons of water to the tamarind pulp.

Squeeze and strain the juice.
3. Add jaggery to the tamarind juice.

Stir to dissolve the jaggery.
4. Chop the coriander and pudina finely.

Add 2 pinches of salt to the chopped leaves.

Crush with a pestle.
5. Add all items, except tamarind juice, coriander mixture and sev,
to a big utensil.

6. Add coriander mixture and tamarind juice.

7. Garnish with sev.

1. Add roasted gram, roasted peanuts and or sprouted moong to make the bhelpuri more nutritious.
