1. Chop onions, tomatoes and green chillies and keep each of these separately.
2. Heat oil in a vessel.
3. Add mustard seeds when oil is hot.

4. Add channa dal, urad dal, and cumin seeds when the mustard seeds start to splutter.

Fry till the dal turns golden brown.

5. Add chopped onions and green chillies.

6. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt.

Mix for two minutes.
