Servings:  2-3

Ingredients:

1.
Onions 3-4
2. Oil 2-3 teaspoons
3. Mustard 1/4 teaspoon
4. Channa dal 1 teaspoon
5. Green chillies 4-5 or to taste
6. Ginger 1/4 teaspoon (chopped)
7. Curry leaves 1 sprig
8. Turmeric 1/4 teaspoon
9. Sugar 2 pinches
10. Lemon juice to taste
11. Salt to taste
12. Fresh coriander leaves 1 teaspoon






Onion Curry Recipe


1. Chop the onions into thin, long pieces.

2. Heat oil in a utensil till the oil becomes hot. onion curry s3

4. Add channa dal when the mustard starts to splutter.

Fry till the dal turns to golden brown.

5. Add curry leaves, ginger, onions, sugar and chillies.






Fry for 2-3 minutes till the onions change their color.

6. Add turmeric, salt and a few tablespoons of water.

Mix.

7. Cover the utensil and cook till the onions become soft.

8. Add lemon juice and coriander leaves. Mix.

TIPS Onion Curry
1. Do not add too much water for cooking the onions, because the onion curry should not have any gravy.
2. You can cook the onions entirely in oil, using more of the same in Step 2, to make the curry tastier. But from the health view, this method is not recommended.
