10. Turmeric powder 1/8 teaspoon
11. Lemon juice to taste
12. Coconut gratings 1 tablespoon
13. Salt to taste
14. Fresh coriander leaves
15. Water about 3/4 cup

1. Check for wilted and old leaves of the cabbage and remove and discard them.

2. Chop the cabbage into small pieces.

3. Wash moong dal.

Soak the dal in 1/2-cup of water for about 30 minutes.

TIP
You can cook the dal without soaking it. However, you can reduce the cooking time and also save the fuel if you soak the dal.
4. Heat the oil in a utensil.

Add mustard and jeera when the oil becomes hot.

Fry till the jeera turns to golden brown.

Do not over cook the cabbage, because it will become soggy and thus will not be crunchy.
