2. Oil 2 tablespoons
3. Hing few pinches
4. Mustard 1/4 teaspoon
5. Chana dal 1/2 teaspoon
6. Jeera or cumin 3/4 teaspoon
7. Methi 1/16 teaspoon
8. Curry leaves 2 sprigs
9. Onion, chopped, 1/2-3/4 cup
10. Garlic cloves 12-15

1. Select tender, small, green avarekalu.

Wash the avarekalu. Keep aside.

2. Dry fry methi seeds till their color changes slightly.

Add about 1/2 teaspoon of jeera.

Fry till the jeera turns golden-brown.

Keep aside to cool.

Make coarse powder of methi and jeera seeds.

3. Heat oil in a utensil till the oil becomes hot.

4. Add hing. Mix.

Add salt and coconut gratings.

Cook for 3-4 minutes or till the avarekalu absorbs the salt.

12. Add jeera powder, chopped coriander leaves and butter.
