Fry till these become hot or change color.
Remove the chilies and keep aside.
Fry till the onions become soft.

|1.||If you do not have roasted gram dal, use one tablespoon of fried urad dal.|
|2.||If you do not have fresh coconut, use copra (dry coconut).|
|3.||Add a few cloves of garlic, along with onion, in Step 3, if you want this chutney to be spicy and want to benefit from the medicinal properties of garlic.|
