Servings: 2-3

Ingredients:

1. Mullangi / radish / mulanki / mooli / moolangi 1 big or mullangi pieces 1 cup
2. Fresh coconut pieces 1/4 cup
3. Roasted gram 1 tablespoon
4. Green chili 1 or to taste
5. Tamarind to taste
6. Coriander leaves, few sprigs
7. Salt to taste

Seasoning (optional):

1. Oil 1/2 teaspoon
2. Mustard seeds 1/4 teaspoon
3. Red chili 1
4. Urad dal 1 teaspoon
5. Hing / asafoetida 1 pinch (optional)

How to make Mullangi Chutney?


1. First, soak the mullangi in water to remove any mud and other impurities.

Next, wash the mullangi thoroughly. If mud is still present on this vegetable, peel its skin.

Cut into pieces.

2. Add coconut, chili, coriander leaves, tamarind and salt to a mixer jar.

3. Add water and grind to a paste.

Do not add water, as mullangi itself contains much water.
