4. Roasted gram dal 1 tablespoon
5. Tamarind small piece
6. Salt to taste




How to Prepare Onion Chutney?

TIPS
Indian Red Onion Chutney
1.
Add little jaggery or sugar if you wish the chutney to have a sweet tinge.
2.
Because the raw onions themselves are spicy / hot, do keep a check on the quantity of chilies you want to use. 
3. If you do not like the raw onion smell and taste:

- Heat about 2 teaspoons of oil.

- Add the chutney to the oil and fry till the onions do not have the raw smell.

- If the chutney becomes thick, add a few teaspoons of water and fry.
